The Honda EU2000I

The Honda EU2000I Super Quiet 2000 Watt portable generator is one of the best portable generators in the market.

Because of Honda's well-established reputation, a lot of people choose to pay premium pricing for a reliable and dependable brand. This is not to say that the price is expensive, in fact, it's quite affordable for the quality of the product you're getting.

With just a gallon of fuel, this portable generator can already run for up to 8 hours. That's already great fuel efficiency, other generators would easily need double the amount of fuel for the same run-time.

Honda EU2000I

The Honda GX100 is able to produce 2000 starting watts and 1600 running watts. This would be enough for small AC units, refrigerators, microwaves, or other essential household appliances. True to its portability, it only weighs 46 pounds and can be easily carried by a single adult. If you need more power, its parallel capability will allow you to connect a similar model to produce up to 4000 watts of running power. It's really quiet with noise levels going as low as 53 dbA when in economy mode and not running at full load.

The Ryobi RYI2200

The Ryobi RYI2200 is a good alternative to a Honda portable generator. Price wise they're almost the same with this Ryobi model able to produce 200 watts more at 2200 starting watts and 1800 running watts.

It's very compact and the design even includes two carrying handles if you prefer to carry the unit but it can also be easily wheeled via the telescoping luggage-style handle.

It is not equipped with an electronic start and may need a few pulls to get started especially during the initial start.

Ryobi 2200-Watt

If you want more power, just purchase the parallel connection kit and connect another similar unit to get twice the power. It's very quiet and is rated to be quieter than a normal conversation. To maximize run-time, run it at 25% load and you can expect it to provide power for around eight hours on one full tank of gas.

The Ryobi RYI2200 is a less expensive alternative to Yamaha or Honda models that perform as expected with drawbacks focusing mainly on the paper funnel supplied for filling the oil and limited fuel capacity.

The Honda Power Equipment EB2800i is ideal for job sites and is job site grade with GFCI protection, OSHA & LA-ETL compliant. It has been rated #1 by builders for multiple years assuring dependability and durability.

Since it's powered by a Honda engine, you can expect long years of reliable service. The best part about this portable gas generator is its long run-time. With only 2.1 gallons of fuel, it can operate for up to 12 hours straight.

This is due to Honda's Eco throttle system which allows the engine to automatically adjust based on the required power.

Honda EG2800i
